My name is Anamika, a visual artist from Muzaffarpur (India).

2. When did art become part of your life?
Art has been a part of my life since childhood.

3. How long have you been making art?
From childhood, I was attracted to art. After completing my basic education, I completed my bachelor's and master's in fine arts in 2016, and after that art became my life.

4. What shows that the art scene has evolved over the last few years?
Nowadays art is shown in different ways such as virtually; especially at the time the pandemic started, it was very pronounced. More than ever we had the opportunity to connect with galleries, and take part exhibiting in all over the world.

5. Can you tell us more about the project you are currently working on?
Currently, I am working on the project titled - “the world's biggest womb – Nature”. Nature means not only our surroundings, it relates to our behavior too.

6. Where do you do your work?
I am currently living & working in Delhi NCR (India).

7. Do you work from life, from photographs, or from imagination?
My work concept is from nature and the way of presentation is from an imagination that makes my work unique.

8. What technique (applicable for art) do you use?
I love to use watercolor on paper mostly. But, these days, I am playing in mixed media on paper and canvas too.

9. What is the role of the designer/artist in society?
I think an artist has the best opportunity to give a message through the paintings while people are enjoying it.

10. Where did you study?
I completed my bachelor of fine arts from Mahatma Gandhi Chitrakoot Gramodaya University, MP (2010-14), Master’s in fine arts from same university (2014-16).

11. What would you call your style?
Abstract

12. What's the best thing about being an artist?
The best thing about being an artist is the freedom to express myself.

13. What's the worst thing about being an artist?
The worst thing about being an artist is that usually, our work is more appreciated after death.

14. How do you feel when people interpret your design/artwork differently?
It is very interesting to take some different views, different observations.

15. Who or what inspires you?
Nature and relation between each and every beings inspires me a lot.
